Who is TeamUlua
Uluas are like you and
me. We're all ages from 16 to 64 and roughly
half men and half women. From first timers
to some that have been around since the
beginning. We are not pros, we're real people
with jobs and responsibilities. Our interest
is to shed a few pounds while trying our
hand at a triathlon, marathon or a swim.
It's also nice to meet some new people,
enjoy some camaraderie, good times, and
good food too! Yes, we want to train but
we also want to have fun and eat too!
Well if this is you, then you've come to
the right place. TeamUlua is all about the
above and more. We train around the scenic
Diamond Head area where there's always plenty
of parking. Typically, Tuesday and Thursday
evenings and Sunday mornings
Our training philosophy is focused on proper
technique and quality workouts. Proper technique
will keep you injury free while making you
comfortably faster. Good workouts with lots
of variety will keep things interesting
and make you stronger. There's never a dull

We like to think that TeamUlua is a lifestyle!
TeamUlua trains year around.
We don't stop, it's too
much fun! Training changes throughout the
year. From January to August, there's plenty
of bicycling events and triathlons including
the famous Tinman, Keauhou & Ironman Triathlons.
We'll get busy swimming in our beautiful ocean,
bicycling around the island perimeter enjoying
with georgeous views, and running around scenic
Diamond Head. It
doesn't get much better!
Beginning in July,
we'll additionally put on our goggles and
start swimming off Waikiki Beach to prepare
for the 30+ annual Waikiki Roughwater along
the way swimming in the North Shore swim series.
In September, we'll lace
up our running shoes and start preparing the
Honolulu Marathon.

Run the Honolulu
Marathon with ease!
Novice to age
grouper. Train for your next P.R. or learn
what one is! We will teach you how to run
using your body, not just your legs. Proper
form never causes a sore lower back or other
body parts. Stop running in pain quickly.
You'll run much more easily and use less
energy. Keeping you more injury free while
not only getting in shape and staying there!

Early season, it's the
perfect way to prepare for the trathlon season.
Focus on skills in the pool and open ocean
swimming. The uluas enter the series including:
MCAS Sprint Triathlon, North Shore Triathlon,
Tinman Triathlon, and Hickam Triathlon. And
for those daring off to Xterra Triathlon!
We swim in safety and beauty of Waikiki and
Ala Moana Beach Park.Preparing for the Roughwater
with plenty of open ocean swimming. The Uluas
enter the North Shore Swim series culminating
in the Waikiki Rough Water in September.
